The Challenges

Chef Meta Event
Bingo Blitz by Playtika is one of the top casual games in the world. Includes a lot of mini features and games that enrich the game and encourage gameplay by winning game credits and more playtime experience
The chef is a progressive meta feature that has a new version & theme every 3 months.
The Chef game mechanic is to collect ingredients from Bingo rounds and cook different dishes with them. The main chase of the game is to cook all the menu dishes and become a greater chef.

About Chef
After 10 chef versions, we decided to restructure the whole Chef game.
We looked for a way to organize all the game features and the navigation between them in an intuitive design that allows players to focus on the main game actions.
Overwhelming Layout
We reduced overload by merging the Main and Kitchen screens into one and placing the main “Make” action at the center. With the chase goal at the top and dish selection below, players now land directly in the action with a clearer focus.

Confusing Navigation
We improved navigation by designing one wide screen split into three areas: Kitchen, Pantry, and Garden. Players use arrows to slide between them, making movement more playful and easy to follow.

Connection to the Core Game
We redesigned the tutorial to be interactive and goal-driven. Instead of long passive instruction, it ends by sending players into a Bingo round to collect ingredients. This shift helped reinforce the connection between the feature and the core game loop.
